Education and Professional Experience:

Thomas Schinko studied architecture, engineering and urban planning at Karlsruhe Polytechnic University in Germany and UP Belleville and Ecole de Paris Tolbiac in France.

Since 2009, Thomas Schinko has been leading international VASCONI ARCHITECTES practice. During this period he designed real estate projects for different markets in Europe and Asia. Among Thomas Schinko’s numerous projects are Princess Grace Palace Hotel (52,066 sqm) in Monaco Island in Dubai, UAE; National water ecology center Jiang Xin Zhou (150,000 sqm) in Nanjing, China; International IT University (60,000 sqm) in Almaty, Kazakhstan; Melia Hotel (35,000 sqm) in Almaty, Kazakhstan; TDF Headquarter with offices, laboratories and datacenter in Paris, France; urban and landscape planning for Expo 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan; Technical high school Gallieni (42,000 sqm) in Toulouse, France, and many others.

Thomas Schinko and VASCONI ARCHITECTES are known on the Ukrainian market for the Metropole mixed use complex (80,000 sqm), which is under construction in Kyiv.

Thomas Schinko is the French Delegate of the International Union of Architects Public Health Group, and Member of Chamber of Architects and Engineers in Luxemburg and France, Oft Architektenkammer Baden-Württemberg in Germany, and Hong Kong Institute of Architects in China.

VASCONI ARCHITECTES is an award-winning architecture studio headquartered in Paris with offices in Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Kyiv and Baku. Founded by Claude Vasconi in 1973, the firm has significantly expanded under the visionary direction of the firm’s principle architect and current owner, Thomas Schinko.

VASCONI ARCHITECTES received several international awards including a Green Building Merit Award, FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence Award and a Grand Prix d’ Architecture Midi-Pyrenees Award, MIPIM Awards and SIMI Awards, and others.

In 2018, VASCONI ARCHITECTES designed the largest mixed use development Metropole in Kyiv and received for its innovative design and layout the European Property Award in London.
